Yoga For Men
More men take yoga than you think. In fact, 3.5 million men of all ages are taking to the mat. The overall practice of Yoga can help combat age-related diseases like spinal related issues, impotence, prostate conditions, Osteoporosis, and heart problems. For those more into sports and other physical activities, practicing Asanas will help offset any physical irregularities that they may result from repetitive movement. Like in sports such as golf or tennis, there is a tendency that some muscles are used more than their respective symmetrical counterparts.
Yoga helps to loosen tightness in the muscles, bringing the body back into its natural alignment. This class is recommended for men of all abilities and ages.
Teacher: Brent Wright

New Class - Wednesdays at 5:30 pm
Ananda, Meditation in Motion
Ananda Yoga connects our mind with our body, not just through the physical asana (postures) of hatha yoga, but through the alignment of mindfulness, breath, positive affirmations and meditation. Each movement of the body is a mindful practice. Every breath we take is a meditative opportunity. Our bodies then become another spiritutal tool of moving energy inward, upward and moving our hearts closer to God. In Ananda Yoga, less emphasis is placed on the alignment of the pose and more is placed on the alignment of the heart and mind. Each asana is paired with its own affirmation which one practices silently in the pose. Anyone, beginners and all levels, can enjoy this powerful practice based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda.
Teacher - Keri VandeWater,
Certified Ananda Yoga Teacher |
