The Practice Of Being It is so wonderful that so many people have come to embrace yoga. We've all arrived at the threshold of this ancient practice for different reasons. Some for the physical benefits, some for the mental release and others for the spiritualism that reawakens within ourselves. A frequently asked question by most people before coming to their first class is "what do I wear?" And although it is a fair and basic inquiry, I usually want to respond with "wear your most authentic self". Just be the beautiful, inspiring individual that you arrived on this planet to be. Sounds simple, but is very hard for most of us to do. We are so caught up, drawn and pulled by what we think we should do and what we think we should be that we end up feeling inadequate to who we really are. We may feel others are watching us, judging us, we may feel awkward, that we are clumsy, unworthy, unsure. Unfortunately, when we weigh ourselves down with such heaviness, we miss out on the beautiful dance of life. So, it is time to let go and to arrive...arrive home...into your body, into your heart, into the divine spark of creation that you are. The word yoga means to yoke, to unite. Feel safe. Feel Love. We are all one.
